Forest Bathing Walk - Shinrin Yoku

  • WILD PLAY Discovery Centre Dickens Drive Centennial Parklands Australia (map)

Connecting with nature is increasingly being recognised as an important antidote to high-stress, fast-paced modern urban lives. Join us for our Forest Bathing Walk and experience the healing benefits of taking some time out to (re)connect with yourself, nature and community. Nothing to do with taking a bath or shower and very different to a bushwalk, our Forest Bathing Walk is a guided mindfulness practice in nature.

Led by a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, educator and meditation teacher, this walk involves guided meditation, slow wandering and gentle invitations to connect to the natural world in deeper ways than you might normally. Informed by the Japanese practice of "shinrin yoku" or “forest bathing”, this type of mindful walking is calming and soothing to the nervous system and can help boost your immune system.

Throughout the walk we take time to stop and share our experience. The practice brings us into deeper connection with ourselves, our community and the natural world. As well as having documented physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing benefits, Forest Bathing also inspires us to become more connected and caring custodians of the environment.

Price: $35 for 2.5hr session.  Click below to register.

I look forward to walking with you!
